INTERESTING PLACE TO VISIT : SAUNG ANGKLUNG UDJO

After returning from Anyer - Banten last December, I and family continued to visit Saung Angklung Udjo in Bandung.

I do not remember the name of the street. From Gasibu, around 500 meters before the terminal Cicaheum to the left of the road there is a sign Saung Angklung Udjo. Turn left onto the road.
Just follow the road, less than 1 km to the right was another sign that we have arrived at Saung Angklung Udjo.

An interesting place to visit. 

Available workshops with a variety of bamboo crafts. There are wayang, bags, sandals, and musical instruments from bamboo. There are signs forbidden to take pictures in workshop but I insist on taking pictures even if secretly :)))

At 03:00 pm the tickets counter Angklung Udjo opened. Ticket prices for adults IDR 60.000 (local) and IDR 40.000 for children (local). While the price for tourist   IDR 100.000 (adults) and IDR 60.000 (child). Children under 3yo is free. Payment can be made by cash or credit card.

After paying ticket, officer will provide brochure synopsis with a necklace form of angklung. Before looking for a place to sit, redeem tickets with drinks, available at the counter exchange.
Do not be too long here because we have to find a comfortable seat to watch the show. Not many places are available if you did not come with the group, because most places were already booked.

Show starts at 03.30 pm to 05.00 pm
Wayang Golek first show, followed by Helaran a traditional ceremony to accompany circumcision and rice harvest. After that followed by the traditional dance Tari Topeng, and  Calung, Arumba, Angklung Mini,and  Angklung Pa Daeng.

The most interesting thing is playing angklung and singing together. This section invites the audience to come to play angklung with direction of the master of ceremonies. Angklung is provided by the Angklung Udjo.
The last part is the Angklung orchestra, played by senior players. This is amazing!
At the end of the show, we were asked to get off the stage and danced with the children.  The children are very happy.

I bought a set of angklung to my daughter

The visit was very memorable for me and family.
If there's a chance we'll be back to visit Saung Angklung Udjo.
